Launched in 2004, the Café Femenino Coffee Project originated in Peru with more than 460 women coffee growers from 50 communities. These women united to achieve independence and equality through the production and sale of their own coffee, Café Femenino.
Today, the Café Femenino Coffee Project is active in Bolivia, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico and Peru involving over 1,500 women.
The project exists to enhance and improve the quality of life for women coffee producers and their families in rural coffee communities around the world while providing the highest quality, organic coffee. |
