Santa Maria Farm has a long coffee history. The farm’s coffee tradition has 50 years. The current owners are descendants of Italian immigrants who came to the Pinhal region looking for better living opportunities. The farm grows and processes coffees according to organic and biodynamic production standards, such as detoxification of soil, non-usage of agrochemicals, recovery of ciliar vegetation, preservation of native species and also commitment to social projects, as a way to ensure a better environment and enhance the living standards of workers.
